We talk about where the hell we came up with the name “Mother of Diversity” and what it means. If your still curious check out the about section of the site for an amusing recount of how we met and the site started.

We were talking about a name for the blog, it wasn’t easy… We wanted it to hint at couple of things; the fact that the site hosts 3 broad topics, and (rather vainly) us - or rather the diverse nature of our backgrounds. What we ended up with was that and more, a name which is (for me at least) an interesting play on words which could give much more food for thought than it did when it popped into our small brains.
To me the name says allot, since leaving school much of what I have learned is about accepting differences and other cultures. It often seems that many of the problems in the world wouldn’t exist if people on both sides knew more (assuming they know anything now) about each other. Considering this, it may well be the case that the diversity is the mother of invention, and a true understanding of it across wider segments of society could be just the invention we are looking for.

Diversity can be the hardest thing to be comfortable with but to the curious, diversity can be a renewal! I have never felt that more than when I went to live in Australia, where I met Dan and Saan. After some great times … a few too many drinks… and some soul searching, I realized that no matter how diverse cultures can be, you will always be able to find people with the creative energy and the will to discover.
It was only some time until Dan sent me an email talking about blogging and the aspects of collaborative blogging. Coming up with a name for ventures like these is a very daunting task for me. Nothing that came up in my head was good enough to rally our interests behind, but as soon as Dan brought up “Mother of Diversity”, all I could think was “simplisticly fitting”.
Diversity is a perfect influence on all the art forms that we have a passion for and wish to share. Try to think of a song or artist that doesn’t incorporate different styles into their own unique interpretation. I hope when you look around the site, you can appreciate what diversity has to offer!

Took a look at myself in the mirror and asked myself what I have seen
Thousands of memories woven into the skin, telling where I have been
As diverse as I can be, I am the child of Earth, born out of infinite love
Asked why and more whys’ as I grow up collecting treasure trove
Each and every trophy defining what I am like an autobiography
Earning me the right to travel across the wide geography
Searching for a sing in the endless sea of diverse space
Seeking for a meaningful life in a light speed race
Met as many people as possible from all around the world
Meting my friends like a tall statue made by a solid rock mold
Out of this figure came many new ideas that changed our lives
Our creation started opening a whole new universe for our eyes
So take a look into the eyes of a figure of diverse backgrounds
Stories of memories woven into the cyberspace bullet rounds
It’s a moment to share a private sparkle with you, the only one
It is Mother of diversity a new place welcome to everyone
