Hey, I’m Dan Brennan.  Welcome to MotherOfDiversity.com

I’m 22, I’m Australian, and I’m struggling to work out what else to put in my bio…

Let’s start at the beginning shall we?  It was a warm summers day, my parents had just met and love was in the air…skip forward 9 months…I was born.  It was 1986, a good year, what with the Voyager 2 space probe making it’s first encounter with Uranus… As though that wasn’t enough, on December 12 at 4:59am a beautiful baby boy was born.  In the neighboring room my mother was still having trouble birthing my fat ass.  At 6:49 a slightly less attractive (but infinitely more talented) baby boy was born.  The doctor promptly dropped him on his head, damaging the infinitely-talented part of my head.

Proof I was probably dropped on my head at Birth… Susan and I in South Africa (I spent 6 months there last year volunteering on a project called Schools 4 Schools

I was lucky enough to grow up on my parents beef farm and quickly developed a smart assed attitude which endeared me to teachers during my youth.  Since finishing school I have been rather eclectic and tried to jump on any bandwagon which looks like it will be a fun ride.  I literally did this last year when a road-trip/tour promoting positive mental health to youth came through town, they were short a photographer so I lied and told them I was one.  We toured Australia visiting schools and I gave them some average photos.

I like to think I’ve gotten better since then, but you can be the judge of that, my posts will feature photography tutorials, links to resources I find, pictures (obviously) and I’ll regularly feature the work of other talented photographers I come across in my travels.  I’ll also be throwing in my 2 cents in MoD’s ‘featured section’ (possibly our most diverse section!).
Like most semi-sociable people I enjoy hanging out with friends.  Here I am (hiding on the left) with a couple of fellow Aussies and an Englishman in Coffee Bay, South Africa.
